ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, with Algerian heritage, Ms Himeur made a transformative leap in 2006 to the vibrant shores of Miami, where her creative spirit found an exhilarating new home.

Her artistic journey began at an early age; she started drawing as soon as she could hold a crayon.
By the time she was four, she had filled several binders with her creations. Her early love for visual storytelling also led her to pen short stories in first grade, each page adorned with her imaginative characters.
This dual passion for visual and narrative art laid the foundation for her future as a mixed-media artist, where she has seamlessly woven together her love for storytelling and artistic expression.

Self-taught and ever-experimental, Ms Himeur has explored various materials to discover her personal style, marked by a fascination with glitter and shine.
A pivotal moment in her artistic development came when she first encountered the dazzling display of a Swarovski crystal store as a young child, igniting a lifelong passion for sparkle. Her artwork primarily features acrylics, resin, glitter, and Swarovski crystals, often beginning with a spontaneous sketch.

Himeur embraces a unique creative process where she closes her eyes and allows her imagination to guide her, resulting in abstract motifs that come to life as she opens her eyes and refines her work. Her approach straddles contemporary, cubism, and abstract styles. Abstract representations of animals and enigmatic faces.

Over the past decade, Himeur has gained recognition in the Miami art scene, displaying at a multitude of galleries and events, exhibiting at prestigious venues like Spectrum Art Fairs in Miami, Art Expo New York, as well as internationally at Art3f Monaco and Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid.
As a member of Jason Perez Art Collective since late 2022, and Park West Gallery 2024, she continues to leave a glamorous mark on contemporary art, celebrating the beauty of life and emotion through her colorful, original works, leaving a glitzy and glamorous mark on the contemporary art scene.
